so i have officially taken the first step to becoming a true 'seattlite' - - yes, you guessed it, i bought an espresso machine! (they are NOT kidding when they say there is a coffee shop on EVERY street corner here). aaron has really taken to drinking coffee lately, and so instead of going against the grain, i decided to help feed the addiction by buying him an espresso machine for his bday. of course being the shopaholic/infomercial junkie that i am, i couldn't stop there, so now we also have the starbucks "accessory kit" with all the fun little tools needed to make a "real" cup of coffee, and lots of espresso to practice with. i'm most excited about the little steamer -- mmm . . . lattes. so now we get to hone our barista skills -- who knows? maybe we'll open up our own little coffee cart somewhere in the middle of africa someday :) -- preferably iced. anyhow, happy birthday aaron! here's to caffeine addictions and homemade non-fat caramel macchiatos, extra foam! love you
