okay, so here i am, posting a blog -- finally! i've been putting it off 'cause i don't have many photos to post, and at least for me, the photos are half the fun. Aaron and I are still old school, i.e. no digital camera, and so getting photos online is a battle and a half. anyhow . . . moving forward, we will be getting one before we head out to Africa this summer -- YEAH AFRICA -- so i've decided to just start this thing photo-free! (well, not entirely . . . i've got a few kickin' around, and thanx to my bro, Cory, i've got pix of my dog Daisy and his dog, Patches, so you can check those out. I have become a little dog obsessed, so be prepared to hear a lot about Daisy in the future. she's my little bean! :) )
yep -- Africa. It's been too long. We're leading a short-term team back to Zambia this summer and I already know that I'm not going to want to come back. Working a job that isn't your passion can be hard enough on it's own, let alone having to LEAVE your passion to return to the fore-mentioned job. I mean, i'm not complaining about my job per se (i'm an administrative specialist in elections) -- i'm blessed to have it. But it isn't my passion, and so my heart isn't 100% here -- it's still in Africa. Aaron and I will be heading out long-term in the next couple of years, so i know it's not forever. But still, I won't want to leave . . .
